wire harness test blocks

Wire harness assembly and test fixture for a major
appliance manufacturer is used to assemble and test the wire harness
before it is inserted into the cabinet. This fixture was used to
reduce quality problems that had previously been found only after
final assembly. The fixture uses spring contacts for connections,
and each test block is custom made for each type of connector.

These are custom Packard test connectors used on a wire harness
assembly and test fixture. The red, blue and yellow connectors on
the right are multiple butt splice blocks.

These are custom test blocks for Molex connectors, header connectors,
rings and spade connectors, and right angle quick disconnects.

These are custom flip Molex test block connectors. They utilize
mating connectors with spring contacts to bring connections through
the bottom of the blocks. The main advantage to using these connectors
is that the operator does not have to unplug them. They automatically
disconnect when the harness is pulled from the assembly and test
board.
